Jennifer is the oldest of five mischievous siblings—all of whom believe getting older doesn’t mean completely growing up. As a kid, her worst punishment was being grounded from books for a week. Fortunately, it only happened once (and in hindsight, she deserved it).
Her love of travel has taken her on multiple journeys across the US as well as to Africa, Europe, Canada, and Mexico (though not in that order). She’s worked as an editor, a receptionist, the assistant to a former Congresswoman, and once worked part-time in a comic book shop to earn comic book money.
Her published works include articles in hobby magazines and the Christian Writers Market, blogs for The Writer’s Wellspring, Jots and Thoughts, and the Christian Writer’s Guild, as well as a handful of short stories. The first installment of her current work in progress, Outcast, was named a semifinalist in the ACFW Genesis Awards and a finalist in the OCW Cascade Awards for unpublished YA fiction in 2017.
When her ink-stained nose isn’t buried in words, she enjoys kayaking, getting her hands dirty, and laughing with family and friends. Jennifer has finally given up trying to decide if her favorite color is sunshine yellow (the cheeriest color) or TARDIS blue, because it reminds her that life is one continuous adventure. Now she fully embraces both.
